sanyo HIT are consider do be on one of the best commercial pannels today (efficiency and quality). do you have an explanation to the considerably low performance of sanyo hybrid modules?

thanks,

I have the same question. From Feb to July 2010 the HIT Hybrid Silicon Sanyo array (No.27) seems way down? Then it seems to come online and outperforms all others. I didn't find an explanation in the 'notes on the data' section under Historical Data tab either. Can anyone explain?

Hi,

Thanks for your questions.

Looking at the HIT Hybrid Silicon Sanyo array on the interactive graphing page, it seems to perform well compared to other fixed array technologies since its installation was completed in March 2010. There was some brief downtime in November of last year, which is explained in the Notes on the Data page, but apart from that it has performed well.

Can you please elaborate on or provide a screenshot of the performance issues you are seeing?

Best regards,
Ga Rick

Hello Rick,
See attached word doc with screenshot of Array 27 (blue) vs 17 (marone) another thin film which seems to be a star performer. Feb to Jun Array 27 is about half that of Array 17.

Aaah I see.... we are getting our Array's mixed up.

Array 27 is the CIGS Thin Film Q-Cells, Which is showing the lower performance I am wondering about. When it picks up in June it seems to be second only to Array 17.

Array 17 is the HIT Hybrid Silicon Sanyo, which is showing the top performance.

Regards,
Max

Hi Max,

There was actually a different technology model installed earlier on that array (no. 27), which was replaced with the current model of Q-Cells technology in June/July. We will be removing the older data soon. Additionally, not all the Q-Cells information is on the website yet so you may wish to wait until it is all on the website before asking any more questions about it.

Thanks,
Ga Rick
